The Fraunhofer ILT is contributing to this effort by developing low-noise quantum frequency converters and, through ALICE, providing a hardware-based, open-access platform in Aachen for testing and further developing quantum networking technologies based on an NV network node.
Faulhaber - Lifting, carrying and bending down are all part of the daily work routine in logistics warehouses, when delivering parcels or at airports. These activities are physically demanding and over time can also result in physical strain. Robotics cannot take over these tasks completely, but it can support humans where it counts: directly on the body and during work. To provide this support, SUITX has developed a smart exoskeleton: the IX BACK VOLTON.
Alfa Laval - Alfa Laval is initiating the process of fully integrating Desmet, bringing the two organizations and capabilities closer together as one strong global partner in process engineering solutions for the oils, fats and biofuel industries.
OPC Foundation - Avnu Alliance and OPC Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement to advance testing, certification and practical integration of OPC UA FX over Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), with the shared goal of enabling testable and certified devices that deliver multi-vendor interoperability in real industrial automation deployments.
Brady Corporation - The new BradyPrinter i7500 Industrial RFID Label Printer prints and encodes the first RFID label right. Tested competitive models waste 10 to 30 labels after each consumable change. The printer also automatically locates label RFID chips to select the right internal antenna and power level that optimally encode UHF RFID labels currently loaded in the printer.
Innodisk - Innodisk, a leading global AI solution provider, today announced the launch of its new industrial-grade DDR5 8000 RDIMM, expanding its DDR5 portfolio for compute-intensive applications such as edge AI and enterprise servers. Delivering industry-leading data transfer speeds of 8000 MT/s, 11.1% higher than the previous generation, the module addresses growing memory bandwidth requirements while enhancing signal integrity and transmission reliability.
Rohde & Schwarz - This October, Rohde & Schwarz will welcome the wireless community back for the sixth Mobile Test Summit. Under the banner of 6G, the virtual global forum will connect industry leaders, technology experts and testing professionals. Across three online sessions, participants will gain insight into the technologies set to define the next generation of wireless communications.
Fraunhofer - From electrolyzers to storage to fuel cells: At the Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026 in Hamburg, Germany, the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT will demonstrate how laser technology makes key processes in the hydrogen economy more efficient and industrially scalable. In addition, Fraunhofer ILT will present solutions for various electrolysis technologies, the manufacturing of fuel cell components, hydrogen storage, and Power-to-X applications.
Emerson - Across factory automation, packaging, water treatment, and automotive manufacturing, machine builders are facing a familiar challenge: higher airflow demands in increasingly compact machine designs. Moving to a larger valve platform can solve the airflow problem but introduces new complexity — different interfaces, different configurations, and disruption to established machine architectures. The AVENTICS XV05 High Flow Valve System addresses this gap directly.
Beckhoff - From October 6 to 8, Beckhoff will be appearing at VISION in Stuttgart and demonstrating how vision applications can be implemented in full synchronization with PLCs, motion control, and robotics. Image processing thus evolves from an add-on to an integral part of the machine control system – eliminating latencies and the need for additional interfaces.
Profibus & Profinet International - PROFIBUS & PROFINET International (PI) continues to consistently develop PROFIsafe as the leading technology for functionally safe communication. The updated PROFIsafe specification, the now-available test infrastructure, and new and revised application profiles form a comprehensive package for specification, implementation, testing, and certification.
IDS - Metallic, highly reflective surfaces are among the most challenging objects to inspect in machine vision applications. The Austrian company Danube Dynamics, in collaboration with EVVA, a manufacturer of mechatronic access solutions, demonstrates how these challenges can be managed with an AI-supported testing system.
VDW - The recovery of the German machine tool industry is taking shape. In the second quarter of 2026, incoming orders were up 12 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. After a rise of 15 percent in the first quarter, the first six months have seen an overall growth of 14 percent. Domestic orders increased by 16 percent and orders from abroad by 13 percent.
Exone - ExOne Global Holdings, a leading provider of industrial 3D printing solutions, announced today that Hyundai has installed two of its VX1000 HSS polymer 3D printers at the Hyundai Namyang R&D Center in South Korea.
Jungheinrich - The new ETV 4i expands Jungheinrich's portfolio of powerful electric reach trucks for high-bay applications with particularly high handling requirements. The truck is aimed at users with high handling requirements, such as in distribution centres, production supply, or multi-shift operations. With load capacities ranging from 1.4 to 2.5 tonnes and lift heights of up to 14 metres, the ETV 4i covers a wide range of applications.
Beckhoff - From September 15 to 19, 2026, Beckhoff will be appearing at AMB in Stuttgart to demonstrate how metalworking processes can be optimized across the board with PC-based control. The spotlight will shine on TwinCAT 3 as an all-in-one CNC, new function libraries for HMIs, and modular technology packages, such as those for additive manufacturing and EDM.
Pilz - With two new Industrial Security services, Pilz is enhancing its support for companies when it comes to protecting their networked plant and machinery. With Security Evaluation of Machinery (SEM) and Security Assessment of Machinery (SAM), Pilz helps to identify and minimise cyber risks on machinery at an early stage and provide reliable protection for systems.
